6/30/99 Medaphis Corp (MEDA)
Points to watch: Medaphis has outperformed the S&P 500 since mid April. Medaphis is completing a basing pattern and closed Tuesday at important resistance. The stock closed yesterday at 5 1/2, equaling the January highs. A move above this level would confirm the double bottom on the stock's weekly chart ( with the first bottom in October/November 1998 and the second in April 1999) and give a powerful buy signal. Technical indicators continue to strengthen and support higher prices. Weekly OBV and RSI have been rising since mid March, and both indicators showed a divergence with price during the April second bottom. Weekly MACD gave a buy signal on 5/23.
