6/18/99 Brush Wellman (BW)
Points to watch: Brush Wellman has been building a base since bottoming last October and has shown recent strength. On May 6th the stock move above its 200 day moving average (15.48) for the first time in a year. Also encouraging, RSI has had higher bottoms on each swing down since early March. The stock closed yesterday at 17 13/16, just below important resistance at 18 1/4 ( the 38% retracement of the April 1998- October 1998 decline). A double bottom is forming on the chart (10/98, 4/99) and would be confirmed with a move above 18.25.
