APW LTD (APW, 6.02)- The
provider of technically enabled manufacturing services said it now expects
its current restructuring effort to produce $100 million in annual cost
savings, above previous estimates of $63 million.
INFOSPACE INC (INSP, 1.32)- The
Internet content provider said it has repurchased 21.7 million shares
(approximately 7% of its outstanding shares) from a private investor.
RF MICRO DEVICES INC (RFMD, 22.31)-
The maker of wireless components said it expects to exceed previously
given second quarter guidance. The company now sees revenues of $91
million and breakeven earnings, compared to analysts' estimates of
revenues of $78 million and a loss of four cents.
SMITHFIELD FOODS INC (SFD, 45.85)-
The meat processor has agreed to acquire beef processor Packerland
Holdings Inc for $250 million in an all-stock deal. The company
expects the deal to be immediately accretive to earnings.
