PERFORMANCE TECHNOLOGIES (PTIX,

2.13)- The sporting goods retailer said same store sales fell 4.6% in

54.19)- The maker of broadband networking equipment beat estimates by
4 cents as fourth quarter earnings increased 24% to 46 cents per share.
Revenues increased 32% to $582 million in the quarter. The shares
rose 1.50 in after hours trading on the news.
CASELLA WASTE SYSTEMS (CWST,
17.43)- The waste management company met expectations as it earned 29
cents per share in its second quarter. Revenues in the quarter
increased to $56.1 million from last year's $47.8 million.
CSK AUTO CORP (CAO,
17.75)- The auto parts retailer beat estimates by two cents as third
quarter earnings increased to 49 cents per share, excluding charges, from
last year's 37 cents. Revenues rose 26% to $331.3 million in the
quarter, and same store sales increased 2%. The company said its
revenues were negatively impacted by unseasonably warm weather early in
the quarter. The company said operating profit rose to 10.3% of net
sales from last year's 8.9%.
FINISH LINE INC (FINL,
6.31)- The apparel retailer said third quarter revenues increased 10%
to $120.8 million, and same store sales fell 4%. The company said
same store footwear sales rose 5%, but same store apparel sales fell 24%
in the quarter. Finish Line warned that lower than expected apparel
sales will result in a third quarter loss of ($0.08)-($0.10), compared to
expectations of a profit of one cent. The company expects the
negative trend to continue into the fourth quarter, and now sees earnings
of $0.15-$0.20. Analysts were expecting the company to earn 32 cents
in the fourth quarter.
HOT TOPIC INC (HOTT,
43.13)- The specialty apparel retailer said November same store sales
rose 31.9%, and total revenues increased 72% to $13.37 million. The
company also said it will split its shares 2 for 1. The shares rose
3.88 to 47 in after hours trading on the news.
IXNET INC (EXNT,
22.13)- The provider of networking services reported a wider than
expected fourth quarter loss of 43 cents per share, compared to
expectations of a loss of 33 cents. Revenues rose 97.5% in the
quarter to $20.9 million.
JETFORM CORP (FORM,
4.75)- The maker of web based business forms software reported a
narrower than expected second quarter loss of four cents per share,
compared to expectations of a loss of 9 cents. Revenues fell 17% to
$25 million in the quarter. The company warned that its business
continues to suffer from the effects of a Y2K related spending slowdown,
and it expects third quarter earnings to be below the second quarter's.
Jetform also announced the resignation of its CEO, effective immediately.
The shares rose 1.13 in after hours trading on the news.

maker of integrated circuits beat estimates by 5 cents as fourth quarter
earnings rose 150% to 40 cents per share. Revenues increased 45% to
$431 million, and gross margins rose to 52.2% from 49.7%. The
company attributed the strong results to better than expected revenue
growth and margin improvements. The company said it expects first
quarter earnings to come in above current expectations. The company
sees $0.43-$0.45, analysts were looking for 35 cents.
CABLE DESIGN TECHNOLOGIES (CDT,
24)- The maker of networking products beat estimates by three cents as
fiscal first quarter earnings rose 8.9% to 45 cents per share.
Revenues increased 8.1% to $187.6 million in the quarter. The
company warned that second quarter earnings will be $0.30-$0.35, compared
to analysts' expectations of $0.36.
CMGI INC (CMGI,
147)- The company is reportedly planning to sell shares in its
AltaVista unit next March in a $5 billion I.P.O., according to a story in
today's Financial Times. The shares are up 2 in pre-open trading on
